Job description

The Warehouse Assistant / Driver is part of the Cpt Warehouse team. The primary responsibility of the Warehouse is to manage all movements of stock in and out in the Warehouse including picking orders for customers for dispatch arranging deliveries / collections picking / receiving stock transfers receiving goods from suppliers performing daily stock counts investigating variances & nonconformances and ensuring the system records accurately match the physical stock.

DUTIES

Order Processing (Picking Checking Packing Dispatching)

• Responsible For All Movements In And Out Of The Warehouse Including Receiving Goods Picking Orders / Transfers Samples Damaged Goods And Demo Stock.
• Picking Orders / Transfers From Picking List Comparing Picking List Against Customer Purchase Orders Checking Picked Goods Invoices.
• Ensure That Couriers Apply Correct Shipping Labels To All Orders And Takes All The Stock To Be Shipped.
• Responsible For Performing Second Check Of Goods Received From Suppliers Transfers Received Before Being PutAway Into Their Bins.
• Ensures That Quality Management Procedures Are Adhered To At All Times.

Inventory Records

• Perform Daily Stock Counts And Investigate Variances. Daily Stock Counts To Be Completed By 10am Each Day;
• Manage Warehouse Macola Transactions Including Bin Transfers Transfers Etc.
• Perform Investigations Into Stock Variances On Macola. All Investigations To Be Completed Within 48 Hours
• Complete NonConformance Forms For All Issues Identified. All NonConformances To Be Completed Within 48 Hours;
• Responsible For Accuracy Of The Warehouse Stock Records At All Times

Driving Duties

• Perform Daily Deliveries / Collections
• Complete Daily Vehicle Checklists
• Prepares Daily Trip Sheet
• Record Mileage
• Delivers Goods Customer Completes And Signs Trip Sheet (Time Of Delivery)
• Ensures That Quality Management Procedures For Safe Handling And Transport Are Adhered To All At Times

General Warehouse

• Loading And OffLoading Of Containers And Trucks
• Prepare And Pick Stock Transfer To Jhb Warehouse
• Preventative Maintenance Checks For All Equipment. Complete Daily Checklists Of Machinery
• Carries Out All Other Reasonable Assignments As Requested By Management

Interbranch Transfer

• Developing Monitoring And Maintaining Minimum ReOrder Levels For Manufactured Stock;
• Monitor Stock Levels And Prepare Interbranch Stock Transfers To Ensure That Stock Levels In All Warehouses Are Sufficient At All Times;
• Determine Most Efficient And CostEffective Method Of Transferring Stock Between Branches;
• Manage Relationship With Interbranch Transfer Couriers And Report On The Costs On A Monthly Basis;
• Daily Housekeeping Of Warehouse;
• Record Temperature And Humidity Readings Daily And Report To Health & Safety Officer Weekly And / Or Where Breaches Are Recorded
• Maintain The Health And Safety Principles Of The Organization I.E. No Cellphones In Warehouse All Staff Wearing Hairnets In Warehouse Etc. Demarcations Adhered To Etc.
• Report All Health & Safety Incidents Timeously;
• Manage And Monitor The Safe Disposal Of Expired / Hazardous Stock Through Approved Vendors

Quality Management

• Ensure That Product Quality And Safety Is Maintained Throughout The Warehousing Process;
• Documentation Of Ncas And Ars Where Relevant;
• Best Practices Improve Processes And Policies In Support Of Organizational Goals.
• Formulate And Implement Departmental Policies And Procedures To Maximize Output. Monitor Adherence To Procedures

Training (Submit To The Hr Manager)

• Conduct / Perform Skills Assessment
• Training And Skills Plans
• Record All Training

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12
• 5 Years driving experience
• Training In house
