Job description

A well-known food company requires the above to assist the warehouse supervisor with picking of stock assigned and verifying non-conformance and damage as well as standing in for a driver and delivering products to customers on time.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum requirements for the role :

• A minimum matric is preferred for the role.
• Previous experience having worked as a Driver and assisting in a warehouse is essential for the role.
• Previous experience having worked within the food industry is preferred but not essential.
• The successful candidate should have a drivers licence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

• Assisting the warehouse supervisor with picking of stock assigned and verifying non-conformance and damage.
• Timely submitting picking slips to front office for invoicing.
• Completing dispatch records timeously and accurately.
• Ensuring incoming raw materials are checked for conformance, documented, ticketed and stored correctly.
• Ensuring warehouse / stores areas kept in clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Reporting on dispatching and receiving of raw material products to the warehouse supervisor and quality assurance manager.
• Will stand in as a driver for daily deliveries of stock been delivered to customers.
• Assisting with decanting of products and ensuring that processes are followed.
• Assisting with the picking of raw materials for production and reporting non-conformance and damage.
• Assisting the production supervisor with production tasks such as ensuring the area is kept clean and hygienic.
• Completing the designated sections of the preventative maintenance monthly inspection records.
• Procuring maintenance supplies as required and agreed with the maintenance program manager.
• Maintaining the maintenance store in a orderly and hygienic manner.
• Ensuring that all GMPS adhere to during the daily warehouse activities.
• Reporting any resources needed to maintain the food safety in the warehouse environment.
