A leading mining and construction company in Johannesburg is seeking a Warehouse and Inventory Manager to oversee warehouse operations, including the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in warehouse management and a tertiary qualification in logistics. Purpose of the Job
This role is responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse. This position needs to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, optimizing space and workflow, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Key duties include managing warehouse staff, implementing policies and procedures, coordinating shipments, and supervising inventory accuracy. Additionally, the role involves planning and executing operational improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs.
Qualification Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Warehousing, or Inventory Management
Knowledge & Experience
(At the discretion of Management)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehouse/Inventory Management is essential.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Syspro software, and Fleet Management Software.
Good understanding of processes and process improvements.
Special Requirements
Good people management and issue identification skills required.
