A Warehouse Reach Truck Operator’s job functions are related to shifting of goods and material from one place to the other. This operator is also involved in loading and unloading processes as well as sorting and systematic handling of supplies. The Reach Truck Operator is also accountable for daily inspections on his vehicle as well as ensuring that he has a valid license.

Responsibilities

1. Operate the forklift according to the SOP’s
2. Adhere to stacking rules and regulations
3. Work in a systematic and organised manner
4. Assist in identifying appropriate Corrective Action where necessary
5. Report on wastage
6. Conduct necessary checks / inspections on the forklift
7. Rectify and report all deviations to Supervisor
8. Ensure that all Safety Regulations are adhered to / report any unsafe practices / hazards to Supervisor
9. Adhere to Personal + Factory Standards in respect of hygiene
10. Ensure equipment + work area is clean
11. Perform basic forklift maintenance
12. Adhere to HACCP and BRC principles
13. Assist in making up pallets of goods and materials to either dispatch or hand over to production.
14. Inspect incoming deliveries as per the SOP, and ensure correct goods are offloaded and signed for.
15. Assist with stock counts and CHEP pallet counts.
16. Stack newly received goods as per Warehouse Controller instructions.
