The Walt Disney Company Africa is seeking a proactive, professional sales executive with a strong understanding of the South African media landscape to join their Ad Sales and Promotional Partnerships team.

This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a proven sales record, ideally in media, with a passion for driving revenue through strategic partnerships and innovative, bespoke proposals.

The candidate should be ready to step into a managerial role.

Job Scope:
  • Key Channels: Disney Family Channels, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and The Walt Disney Africa YouTube sales
  • Support Sales Role: for Factual channels Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild, and Sport channels for ESPN, ESPN 2
  • Pitches: Collaborate with the Senior Ad Sales Manager and stakeholders to build tailored pitch proposals
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the Linear TV media segment
  • Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with top media buying agencies and existing/new clients
  • Present sales proposals and advertising solutions confidently to clients
  • Plan and manage sales forecasts, fostering a sales-focused culture within the team
  • Leverage digital sales platforms (e.g., YouTube) to complement linear TV offerings
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably related to media
  • Proven sales success (confidential references required)
  • Experience in identifying client needs and tailoring solutions
  • Ability to produce engaging client presentations and build long-term relationships
  • A Business or Marketing diploma or degree is highly advantageous
