Job summary

A leading company is seeking an experienced Technician for a permanent role in Cape Town. The candidate will be responsible for fault finding and repair of VSDs/VFDs, interacting with customers, and attending callouts. Ideal candidates must have knowledge in automation technologies and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Experience with fault finding and repairing VSDs/VFDs down to PCB level.
• Knowledge of automation with AC motors and pumps in various industries.
• Ability to interact with customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Be available for callouts and standby duties when required.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Technician for a permanent role, who specifically has the following:

• Fault Finding and Repair of VSDs/VFDs down to PCB/component level.
• Knowledge of automation (specifically with VSDs/VFDs with AC motors and pumps, and LV Switchgear) in various industries such as irrigation, FMCG etc.
• Has experience in interacting with customers face-to-face and telephonically, can be able to listen to the customer and ask the right questions.
• Is able to attend to callouts when needed, and be on standby as needed.
• Has a valid and legal drivers license.
• RSA Citizen.
• No criminal record.
• Be in good health, both physically and mentally.
