About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations. We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world.

We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure. Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Security Engineer will lead and support the day-to-day operations and development of the bank security suite of products with key objectives in designing, developing, deploying, maintaining and enhancing the Bank's Data Security capabilities, which includes but is not limited to Data Loss Prevention (DLP), E-Mail Encryption and Cryptographic Key Management and Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support execution of DLP strategies and initiatives, including deployment and maintenance of data security solutions and infrastructure.
  • Transform business requirements into effective data security rules considering operational impact.
  • Research and define requirements for new projects, evaluate products, and perform technical Proof of Concept.
  • Drive upgrades and migrations to ensure Data Security solutions are maintained properly with documentation and RCA.
  • Manage and coordinate change processes related to Data Security solutions.
  • Continuously assess the bank's attack surface and exposure to sensitive information leakage.
  • Promote continuous improvement through robust measures, process enhancements, or new capabilities.
  • Provide support for all audit and regulatory requests.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and third-party vendors for Data Security services.
  • Manage multiple priorities in an operational environment with minimal guidance.
  • Handle incidents promptly, working within established guidelines for resolution.
  • Work with technical teams on troubleshooting and forums.
  • Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity trends and incorporate innovative approaches into the security strategy.
Job Requirements
Education

Diploma / Degree in engineering / Computer Science / IT / Cyber Security from a recognized institution. Professional qualifications like CISSP / CISM / CEH or relevant product certifications are advantageous.

Technical Skills

Overall experience of 8-12 years, with 6-8 years in managing and deploying Data Security technologies, especially DLP solutions. Hands-on experience with data classification, encryption, and DLP is required. Familiarity with cybersecurity products like SIEM, threat intelligence, and incident response is beneficial. Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO, NIST). Knowledge of Data Security technologies, industry trends, open systems, networking, endpoint management, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of cryptographic standards and secure data transmission.

Soft Skills

Excellent communication, process awareness, analytical skills, problem-solving, time management, organizational skills, and teamwork.
