Responsible for recordkeeping and ensuring the communication between the committee and the volunteers runs smoothly.
Duties :
- Sending weekly reminders to the volunteers about sessions, keeping them up to date about the lessons planned, tracking attendance, and keeping a detailed record of the volunteers' community service hours and submitting them.
- Ensuring registration of the volunteers is taken every week.
- Recording volunteer hours and keeping backup copies (leaving a paper trail is NB!).
- Diarizing absentees and communicating them to the committee members.
- Sending weekly reminders (WhatsApp / Vula announcement) to the volunteers about sessions.
- Updating the volunteers about the lesson plan.
- Communicating volunteers' concerns to the committee.
Requirements :
- Be a registered UCT law student in the academic year(s).
- Completion of the Constitutional Law course (PBL200W).
- Be committed to the mission of the SHAWCO organization.
- Have excellent time management, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Having previous experience in leadership would be advantageous.
- Be passionate about community development.
- Be in good academic standing.
