Job description

Reporting to the Visual Merchandise and Design Manager, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating all Design and Visual Merchandise requirements to maximize sales, enhance customer and team store experience, and support the brand. Main duties include but are not limited to:

1. Create relevant, attractive 2D and 3D drawings/renders to scale.
2. Understand the brief by delivering solutions aligned with purpose and strategy.
3. Provide visual solutions based on the brief that are clear and understood.
4. Understand the needs of customers and in-store teams.
5. Create specifications, planograms, and documents to inform, direct, train, and guide users as support for drawings/renders.
6. Apply key merchandising principles.
7. Build the brand, grow market share, and increase sales.
8. Conform to all health and safety procedures and standards.
9. Contribute to a healthy and inclusive work environment within the division and team.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements include:

1. Grade 12 or equivalent.
2. Interior Design / Visual Merchandising, Project Management Degree / Diploma or related qualification.
3. At least 3 years' experience in Interior Design, Retail Design, Domestic or Exhibition Design.
4. Experience in Visual Merchandising and Project Planning is an advantage.
5. Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
6. Team-oriented, organized, and capable of effective time management.

This is a full-time position at an associate level within the Art / Creative and Design industry, specifically in Wholesale Building Materials. The job is located in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa.
