PPS in South Africa is seeking a high‑energy Business Development and Relationship Manager for the East Coast region. You will grow a base of Life Assurance and Investment Intermediaries, cross-sell and up-sell solutions, and onboard non‑supporting brokers into the PPS network.

The role emphasizes strategic partnerships, regional API targets, and close collaboration with PPS head office to report on leads, opportunities and performance. Strong emphasis on client service and intermediary training.

Formación

• Matric is required and a commerce-related degree is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in commerce or related field essential / relevant experience.
• RE5 advantageous and financial planning qualifications helpful.
• CFP and/or investments honours are advantageous for advancement.

Responsabilidades

• Support and service intermediaries in their sales efforts with quotes and benefits statements.
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships to leverage new opportunities.
• Achieve specified API targets for the region.
• Provide PPS head office with detailed reporting on leads and opportunities.
• Maintain relationship with internal stakeholders.
• Provide operational support across East Coast branches.
• Deliver excellent client service and respond proactively to intermediary needs.
• Train and develop intermediaries and their support staff.
• Support PPS projects and campaigns with product presentations.
• Participate in product implementation.

Job Description

Reporting to the East Coast Regional General Manager, this role focuses on business development and relationship management within a base of Life Assurance and Investment Intermediaries. The goal is to grow this base, cross-sell and up-sell solutions, particularly targeting non-supporting brokers in the East Coast Region, and assisting with the seamless onboarding of these intermediaries into the regions while promoting the broader value proposition of the PPS Group.

Requirements

Formal Qualifications

• Matric
• Bachelor's degree in commerce or related field essential / A track record of experience and industry related qualifications
• RE5 advantageous
• Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning advantageous
• CFP and/or investments related honours degree will be an advantage

Experience

• At least 7 years in sales or related roles within the insurance and financial planning environment.
• A minimum of 3 years in face-to-face advice sales or third-party sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To support and service intermediaries in their sales efforts by preparing quotes, statement of benefits and other relevant supporting information.
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships to leverage new opportunities.
• Achieve specified API targets for your region
• Provide PPS head office with detailed reporting on leads and opportunities

• Providing operational support and assistance with intermediary functions across branches in the East Coast Region.
