Qualifikationen

• Registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in good standing.
• 3–5 years' relevant professional nursing experience.
• Experience in primary healthcare, triage, telehealth or related clinical environments.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfort with telephone, video and digital patient communications.
• Proficient with electronic medical records and digital healthcare systems.
• Ability to work independently within the scope of the practice.
• Strong confidentiality, informed consent and professional ethics.
• Willingness to work shifts including weekends, holidays and nights; night-shift allowance provided.

Aufgaben

• Conduct professional online nursing consultations with a patient-centred approach.
• Take patient history and assess presenting complaints.
• Identify symptoms, risk factors and red flags.
• Provide nursing advice, education and self-care guidance.
• Determine suitability for virtual management vs face-to-face.
• Escalate and refer to doctors or emergency services when indicated.
• Provide follow-up advice and safety-netting.
• Document all consultations accurately in the electronic system.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with policies.
• Follow clinical protocols and participate in quality assurance and development.
• Operate within SANC scope and escalate safely when needed.
