We have an amazing opportunity for a VIP (Security) Leader to be based in Umhlanga, KZN. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?


VIP (Security) Team Leader Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  2. Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts.
  3. Assist in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shifts.
  4. Responsible for the proper execution of assigned duties.
  5. Provide training to new security officers.
  6. Conduct branch visits for observation purposes, attend to all emergencies, and report to the manager.
  7. Detain trespassers or law violators on-site until the arrival of law enforcement.
  8. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  9. Interview, hire, and train employees.
  10. Plan, assign, and direct work.
  11. Conduct performance assessments and disciplinary action.
  12. Maintain a professional Departmental and Company reputation.
  13. Maintain a regular and consistent attendance record.
  14. Keep well-informed of and adhere to all rules, regulations, and policies.
  15. Provide protection to the company, its employees, and customers.
  16. Interact with local Law Enforcement Agencies as required.
  17. Assist in operating the timekeeping system when required.
  18. Attend and complete all required training as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade B Certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook).

A Bonus To Have:

  • 1-3 years of people management experience.
