Responsibilities

You bring:

  • 1-2 years of security experience.
  • Registered with PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
  • Matric.

What you’ll do for the brand:

  • Be present 15 minutes before the branch opens.
  • Assist in opening the branch with the branch manager/senior team leader.
  • Conduct perimeter patrols and checks for suspicious activity before opening.
  • Maintain vigilance and alertness at all times around the premises.
  • Perform floor walks once the branch is open to ensure order.
  • Complete observation checks before the branch manager/senior team leader proceeds with daily checks.
  • Position one VIP officer away from the entrance during opening and closing for potential danger observation.
  • Patrol inside and outside the branch, including parking areas.
  • Ensure all communication equipment is charged, functional, and safely stored.
  • Carry panic buttons, radios, and earpieces for emergency communication.
  • Search all guests entering the branch with a scanner, including team members, using gender-specific procedures.
  • Ensure the branch door or gate remains closed at the searching zone.
  • Prohibit bag carrying for male guests; female guests’ bags are to be searched with a stick.
  • Manage traffic flow and vehicle entry/exit control.
  • Follow end-of-day closing procedures to minimize entry and secure the premises.
  • Attend branch meetings as notified.
  • Assist with stock receiving, alarm tests, and submit daily reports by 10:00 am.

Guest Service:

  • Greet guests warmly, e.g., “Good day, welcome to Hollywood”.
  • Provide friendly, helpful, and courteous service.
  • Address guest complaints proactively and communicate feedback positively.
  • Create a guest-centric culture with a “service with a smile” attitude.
  • Wish guests well when leaving and invite them to return.

Compliance:

  • Wear full Amadoda uniform, including name badge, black shoes, black socks, and white vet.
  • Scan all persons entering, including team members.
  • Observe guest exit for items they entered with.
  • No bags or weapons allowed inside, except for law enforcement.
  • No persons under 18 allowed.
  • Contact colleagues and activate panic button if dealing with difficult customers.
  • No alcohol or bets unless permitted by license.

Code of Conduct:

  • Remain professional: no sitting, lounging, cell phone use, eating, smoking, or sleeping on duty.
  • Report for duty sober and not abandon post.
  • Avoid casual conversations and tips from guests.

Other:

  • Report absenteeism 2 hours before shift.
  • Work rotating/flexible hours and independently.
