Job summary

Lismore, a boutique wine farm located 10km outside Greyton, South Africa, seeks a dedicated Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day farming operations, manage vineyard activities, staff, and equipment, and work with the owner to achieve strategic objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, budgeting and reporting skills. Relocation to Greyton is required to join the growing business; outdoor work and weekend hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in vineyard management and farm operations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Greyton, South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Vineyard management across pruning, canopy, harvesting, and vineyard health.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of farming equipment and infrastructure.
• Lead, supervise and motivate farm staff; allocate schedules and enforce safety policies.
• Provide weekly reports on operations, budgets, and project progress.
• Monitor budgets; obtain owner approval for major purchases and maintain records.
• Oversee maintenance of farm buildings, roads, fencing, irrigation and grounds.
• Plan and coordinate future farm development projects with contractors and suppliers.
• Report to the Farm Owner with open, timely communications on operations and priorities.
