Job description

The Video Engineer will be responsible for owning and driving the organisation's Video practice, utilizing expertise in surveillance video management systems and video analytics. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our camera network and software platform by researching, evaluating, implementing, and supporting top-tier video surveillance solutions. Your objective is to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our video surveillance platforms. Collaborating closely with our technology and software development teams, you will help the organisation stay at the forefront of Video Surveillance and analytics technology, solidifying our industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and optimise current Video Management Systems.
  • Analyse and optimise current usage of Video Analytics.
  • Recommend improvements to internal and external stakeholders on video management and analytics implementation.
  • Become the video surveillance subject matter expert in our business.
  • Perform competitive analysis and suggest enhancements.
  • Assist with optimisation of the organisation's video platforms.
  • Train operational staff on video analytics configuration.
  • Stay updated with the latest video surveillance trends.
  • Coordinate with development teams on software integration.
  • Source and recommend analytics solutions for different market verticals.
  • Enhance existing analytics for peak performance and accuracy.
  • Optimise existing video management systems.

  • Improve operational efficiency of video systems at scale.

Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma in Information Technology.

Experience
