Placements24 is seeking a creative Video Editor to join our Upington production team. You will transform raw footage into compelling visual stories for Arts & Entertainment projects, collaborating with producers and directors to meet project objectives.

The ideal candidate has strong editing software skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) and a flair for storytelling, pacing, and sound design, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Solid understanding of video production workflows, codecs, and formats.
• Attention to detail, pacing and storytelling in video content.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics and sound design is a plus.

• Edit raw video footage into polished final products, including promotional content, documentaries, and online series.
• Assemble footage, incorporate graphics, music, and sound effects to create a cohesive narrative.
• Collaborate with directors and producers to understand project vision and incorporate feedback.
