Virtual Video Editor required in Cape Town (Remote)

Are you a creative storyteller with an eye for visual flair? Do you thrive on transforming raw footage into captivating content that delights and engages? At The Executive Space, we’re seeking a motivated Virtual Video Editor to elevate our clients’ brands through bold color grading, seamless reel editing, and thoughtful shot selection.

What You’ll Do

1. Color Grading & Correction: Bring footage to life with mood-driven color palettes, consistent skin tones, and cinematic looks.
2. Reel & Social Edit: Craft punchy, scroll‑stopping reels and social clips optimized for each platform’s style.
3. Shot Selection & Assembly: Curate the best takes, construct compelling story arcs, and ensure pacing keeps viewers hooked.
4. Motion Graphics & Titles: Integrate text overlays, lower thirds, and simple animations to reinforce messaging.
5. Asset Management: Organize project files, maintain version histories, and deliver final masters in required formats.
6. Collaboration: Partner with our Virtual Executive Assistants and clients to understand vision, provide updates, and incorporate feedback.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven editing experience: 1+ years editing video for social media, marketing, or similar contexts.
• Software proficiency: Expert in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
• Creative instinct: Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and visual composition.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous about transitions, audio sync, and visual consistency.
• Self-starter mindset: Capable of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and communicating proactively.
• Team player: Open to feedback, collaborative, and committed to delivering exceptional client experiences.
• Photo editing skills (plus): Familiarity with Photoshop or Lightroom for thumbnails, still corrections, or social media assets.
