Job summary

OUTsurance is seeking a creative Video Content Creator to join our team in Centurion. You will produce high-quality video content that aligns with our brand, from concept through post-production, across multiple platforms.

You will work closely with marketing and design teams to ensure consistent branding, optimise videos for social channels, and contribute fresh, audience-focused storytelling. A diploma or higher in video content creation is preferred with 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Video content creation or a similar creative field.
• 5+ years’ experience in the field.
• Preference for candidates from designated groups under Employment Equity goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit various video content, including promos, social clips, interviews, tutorials, and events.
• Collaborate with content team to develop engaging scripts that align with brand messaging.
• Create storyboards and shot lists to visualize concepts before production.
• Edit video footage, add effects, transitions and graphics for high-quality outputs.
• Assist with post-production tasks: audio, colour correction, and background music/voiceovers.
• Optimize content for platforms like YouTube, Instagram and TikTok according to best practices.
• Stay updated on video trends and bring innovative ideas to projects.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure consistent branding.

We are seeking a creative and motivated Video Content Creator to join our team. You will play a crucial role in producing high-quality video content that aligns with our brand's objectives and engages our target audience. This position offers a valuable opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative team to do video production, storytelling, and digital marketing.

Role Overview

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Video Production:Assist in the planning, shooting, and editing of various video content, including but not limited to promotional videos, social media clips, interviews, tutorials, and event coverage.
• Scriptwriting:Collaborate with the content team/ creative leads to develop engaging video scripts that effectively convey our brand message and meet the content strategy goals.
• Storyboarding:Assist in creating storyboards and shot lists to visualize and organize video concepts before production.
• Video Editing:Use video editing software to cut, trim, and assemble video footage, add effects, transitions, and graphics to produce high-quality and visually appealing videos.
• Post-Production:Help with tasks such as audio mixing, colour correction, and adding background music or voice overs to enhance the overall video quality.
• Content Optimization:Optimize videos for different platforms, ensuring they meet the technical specifications and adhere to best practices for each platform (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok).
• Research and Innovation:Stay up-to-date with the latest video trends, techniques, and industry standards to contribute fresh and innovative ideas to video projects.
• Collaboration:Work closely with the marketing and design teams to align video content with broader marketing campaigns and ensure consistent branding.

Competencies

• Creativity:A passion for video creation and storytelling, with a keen eye for visual composition and aesthetics.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and basic Animation in Adobe After Effects.
• Basic Knowledge:Familiarity with camera equipment, lighting setups, and audio recording.
• Strong Communication:Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Time Management:Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to Detail:A meticulous approach to editing, ensuring videos are of high quality and error-free.
• Adaptability:Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changing demands and feedback.
• Portfolio:A portfolio of previous video projects or relevant coursework demonstrating video production and editing skills is a plus.
