We are currently looking for our : Vice President – US Security

What we offer

URW’s strategy is to design, develop, operate, and own superior destinations in major cities by integrating food, fashion, leisure, residential, office, hospitality, and entertainment. We are looking for a Vice President – US Security who is a collaborative and experienced security professional. This is the top security executive in the US Region where we operate 14 destinations with two regional offices (NYC and LA). The role reports to the EVP Center Operations & Marketing with dotted line reporting to the Head of Global Security who is based in Paris, France. This role oversees and coordinates all corporate and field physical security efforts across our US Operations. The scope of this role covers all utilized security technologies and services.

Scope

  • Assess, develop, and execute US security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Collect and Communicate intelligence information to company personnel regarding potential risks and lead third party actions to address
  • Assess and develop US security human capital, physical security posture (including electronic and access control), and policy / procedure compliance through asset assessments
  • Serve as the US Region focal point for the corporate Crisis Management Team for security incident response, planning, and execution
  • Select, Oversee and Manage a network of security resources and vendors who safeguard the company’s assets and physical safety of employees and customers
  • Work closely with executives to prioritize security initiatives and spending, including responsibility for budgeting and forecasting
  • Propose and Lead execution of security enhancement capital projects, innovative solutions and technology throughout the portfolio and corporate office locations
  • Maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement, emergency services, intelligence agencies, and other related government agencies
  • Represent URW regarding security matters in the community and with customers, retailers, joint-venture partners, and other clients
  • Oversee the investigation of security breaches and assist with any legal matters associated with such breaches, as necessary
  • Assist and advise human resources with workplace violence training and any employee security concerns as needed
  • Communicate and benchmark with the global and industry security peers
  • Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for

  • High energy with an action orientation
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Arts and Sciences in a security or criminal justice field are preferable
  • At least 10 years of senior management experience in a security, law, or related industry
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable State or Federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Work history should include demonstration of extensive knowledge of security building systems and related code requirements in both public and private sectors
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of large projects requiring cross business collaboration
  • Candidates should understand the complexity and sensitivity of the corporate work environment and cultural issues impacting people and operational areas of URW
  • The position will require candidates to have the ability to travel both domestically and internationally (minimal)
  • Well-developed interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a personable but professional style
  • Leadership and management skills necessary to manage a diverse team within a complex environment
  • Ability to maintain an acute awareness of contemporary security practices including technical issues
  • Sound understanding of international issues and how they impact URW in the US environment
  • Must be able to respond 24 / 7 in emergency situations
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Compensation

  • Exempt
  • 210K – $265K per year + Discretionary Annual Bonus
