Vice President, Public Sector, Client Coverage

Job Overview

Business Segment: Corporate & Investment Banking

Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30

To manage and grow a portfolio of clients and internal relationships across the end-to-end client engagement value chain, ensuring the clients' needs are fulfilled while managing risk, delivering exceptional client experience, and contributing towards achieving the defined revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a trusted advisor, influencing timelines, expectations, and proactively negotiating across departments.
  2. Coordinate the origination and execution of client-centric solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Commerce (Finance / Accounting)
  • Post Graduate in Business Commerce (Finance / Accounting)

Experience Required (5-7 years):

  • Demonstrated & seasoned experience in the Public Sector regulatory framework.
  • Track record in conducting, collating, and reviewing detailed financial and/or valuation analysis for client engagements.
  • Experience and advanced understanding of Client Coverage capabilities and the overall CIB franchise and competitive environment.
  • Proficient experience working across functional teams to drive client-centric solutions, grow portfolio revenue, and deliver comprehensive client experience.
  • Experience in risk management and fulfilling the role of 'first line of defense'.
  • Experience in the Credit Risk Framework within a CIB franchise.
  • Leading client engagements at senior management and C-Suite level.
