Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Civil Attorney.

• Provide civil legal aid to the poor in the designated area.
• Supervise and guide junior attorneys and paralegals.
• Assist in supporting the civil sections of the office in the designated cluster.
• Represent vulnerable individuals in civil matters.

Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Attributes) Required

• Admitted Attorney or Advocate with right of appearance in the High Court.
• LLB or B Proc degree.
• At least five years' post-admission experience in civil law.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Team player with self-development orientation.
• A valid driver's license is an advantage.

Employment Information

This position is based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape.

The employment decision shall be informed by the Employment Equity Plan of Legal Aid South Africa.
