Position Overview

We are looking for a qualified technician experienced in servicing vibrating equipment, including Vibrating Screens, Vibrating Grizzlys, and Vibrating Feeders, to join our Field Services team. You will test, maintain, repair, and consult on equipment at industrial and mining sites across Africa, providing expert feedback to improve equipment performance and production.

Training and certification specific to Metso will be provided. The role reports to the Field Services Manager and is based at the Metso Alrode Service Centre, Alberton.

Team and Responsibilities

You will join a dedicated team responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as crushers, screens, and flotation cells. Collaboration with stakeholders and a focus on excellent customer service are essential.

  1. Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of Vibrating Equipment.
  2. Conduct detailed testing and optimize equipment performance.
  3. Follow instructions, plan work efficiently, and complete tasks on schedule.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  6. Collaborate to optimize plant performance and develop maintenance strategies.
Candidate Profile

Grade 12 (Matric), trade-tested fitter or millwright, with at least 5 years of vibration equipment servicing experience in industrial or mining settings. Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and residence within Gauteng are required.

Skills and Competencies

Leadership, relationship-building, action-oriented, self-motivated, technical, analytical, mechanical skills, and physical fitness for hazardous environments.
