Job Title: Vibrating Equipment Technician

We are seeking a qualified technician with experience in servicing vibrating equipment, including Vibrating Screens, Vibrating Grizzlys, and Vibrating Feeders to join our Field Services team. You will be responsible for testing, consulting, maintaining, and repairing equipment on industrial and mining customer sites across Africa. You will provide expert-level service and feedback on equipment performance and production improvement activities related to the supported products. Prior hands-on experience is required, and Metso-specific training and certification will be provided.

You will report to the Field Services Manager and be based at the Metso Alrode Service Centre, Alberton.

Team You Belong To

You will join a team dedicated to installation, commissioning, planned maintenance, and repairs on Metso equipment, including crushers, screens, flotation cells, and more, to ensure continued operation. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and product specialists, is essential. Our team culture emphasizes excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repairs of Vibrating Equipment.
  2. Conduct detailed testing and optimize equipment performance.
  3. Follow instructions, plan work efficiently, and complete tasks on schedule.
  4. Ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  6. Collaborate to optimize plant performance and develop maintenance strategies.
  7. Ensure safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
  8. Review and suggest improvements for occupational health, safety, quality, and efficiency.
  9. Complete documentation such as job cards and inspection reports.
Candidate Profile
  1. Grade 12 (Matric)
  2. Trade-tested fitter or millwright
  3. Minimum 5 years experience in vibration equipment servicing in industrial or mining settings
  4. Computer literacy
  5. Strong communication and customer interaction skills
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team
