Job description

Medivet Winterton has an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join this talented team on a part-time basis, or a full-time opportunity is available supporting our lovely team in Beverley too.

Both practices offer a wide range of services and state-of-the-art facilities, all with modern and up-to-date operating theatres, allowing for routine surgery and treatments at both sites. The teams provide a personal and individual touch to our loyal client base, supported by extensive resources at the nearby Medivet Swanland 24-Hour Hospital, offering the best of both worlds!

Role Accountabilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide excellent care to clients, with clear updates on patients.
  • Maintain high standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates.
  • Engage, mentor, and develop your team, enhancing their skills.
  • Complete clinical handovers and coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care.
  • Support and share clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance.
  • Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues.
