Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Vessel Equipment Engineer to work with various Offshore Vessels. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment efficiency, preparing maintenance plans, and managing teams under safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, advanced mechanical knowledge, and is fluent in English. This position offers opportunities on a global scale.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the position.
  • Experience as a Seaman and knowledge of Maritime rules and regulations.
  • Be an independent worker, capable of managing workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficiency of the production equipment.
  • Prepare maintenance plans and associated spare parts.
  • Manage the deck mechanic team in compliance with safety and quality procedures.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of Barge’s equipment.
  • Management of Mooring Crews and assist on all Tug operations.

Are you looking for your next international opportunity? Come join our leading Oil and Gas global client as a Vessel Equipment Engineer (Barge Engineer) forVarious Offshore Vessels to carry out maintenance and control of all the mechanical production equipment based WORLDWIDE.


Job Summary:
  • Ensure the efficiency of the production equipment.
  • Prepare the appropriate maintenance plans and associated spare parts.
  • Manage the deck mechanic team in compliance with the company safety and quality procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for the maintenance of Barge’s equipment and upkeep:
  • Machinery.
  • Towing gear and related items.
  • Mooring equipment (Winches, Bollards, Mooring Lines).
  • Ballast System.
  • Minor repairs and preservation (chipping, painting, welding, etc.)
  • Management & request spare parts and other Barge consumables.
  • Provision of assistance and reporting to management team.
  • Responsibilityto carry out all ballasting operations as well as all the other barge equipment’s.
  • Management of Mooring Crews and assist on all Tug operations.
  • Ability to act as owner’s representative on site and during tow, looking after the Barge’s security and all her assets.
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Team and Project Team
  • Experience as a Seaman and knowledge of Maritime rules and regulations.
  • Be an independent worker, capable of managing his workload with minimum supervision & minimum to no assistance.

Qualification And Skills Requirements:
  • Accredited Master’s degree / bachelor’s degree from a Technical Institute.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the position.
  • Advanced Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledge.
  • Fluent in English.
