The incumbent will be appointed on a permanent basis.

The position is based in Vereeniging.

KEY OUTPUTS

1. Provide legal representation to indigent accused persons primarily at District Court Level.
2. Training and supervision of Candidate Attorneys.
3. Perform office administration.

PETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES) REQUIRED

1. Admitted attorney or advocate (the latter must have completed pupilage successfully at an institution recognised by Legal Aid SA).
2. Legal representation at District Court level.
3. Minimum of at least two years' post-qualification experience or upon completion of relevant training period (OSD Salary Scale Levels 3 and 4).
4. LLB degree or equivalent.
5. Valid driver's license will be an advantage.
6. Right of appearance in High Court an added advantage.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication.
8. Analytical thinking.
9. Team player.
10. Self-development orientation.
