An international automotive OEM is recruiting for a Brand Marketing Manager for Commercial Vehicles based in Sandton. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring all marketing plans to enhance the brand's market positioning and image, leading to increased consumer trust, confidence, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with product, marketing, and media agencies to establish a strong media strategy for South Africa, aligning with global marketing initiatives through collaboration and information sharing.
  • Collect and analyze market data for reporting, manage creative and media agencies, and oversee production suppliers to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and implement advertising strategies to position the brand competitively, aligning with business goals and marketing objectives.
  • Manage media planning and implementation to ensure cost efficiency and target audience reach.
  • Conduct research to ensure communication aligns with brand positioning objectives.
  • Create and distribute advertising bulletins to keep dealers informed of market developments.
  • Develop and manage digital marketing strategies, including CRM, to drive customer loyalty and retail sales.
  • Lead customer launch initiatives to support market share growth.
  • Localize and review POS material to support dealer marketing initiatives.
  • Implement promotional and experiential marketing campaigns to enhance brand image and awareness.
  • Manage customer launches to achieve market share objectives.
  • Oversee editorial and advertorial content for the customer magazine.
  • Manage the brand coordinator to ensure effective brand support.
  • Collaborate across divisions to deliver marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage brand budgets effectively and accurately.
  • Work closely with sales areas like Product Marketing, CRM, and Dealer Training to foster collaboration.
  • Provide timely marketing information to the Dealer Network.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • A formal 3-year Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Engineering, or Commerce from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product and Marketing, preferably in:
  • Commercial Vehicles
  • Brand Promotions and Launches (ICE, PHEV, EV), Brand Advertising
  • Market Research / Intelligence
  • Media Strategy, Buying, and Planning
  • Digital Marketing
  • Automotive marketing experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • People-oriented with team leadership capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of strategic marketing and brand strategy.
  • Knowledge of media strategy, buying, and placement.
  • Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Expertise in digital and social media environments.
  • Customer focus, both for dealers and external customers.
  • Ability to lead high-performance teams.
  • Financial acumen to manage brand budgets.
