Job summary

Talent Shore is seeking a CAD Technician in Johannesburg to support the technical development of branded environments and retail spaces. The ideal candidate will produce high-quality Vectorworks technical drawings and work closely with designers to ensure clarity and accuracy in all drawings. Responsibilities include developing drawing packs, maintaining drawing standards, and ensuring construction detailing. Solid experience in retail and exhibition projects and a strong attention to detail are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of construction methods, joinery, and materials.
• Experience working on retail, exhibition, or interior projects.
• Ability to produce clear, logical, and well-structured drawing sets.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• 3D modelling in Vectorworks.
• Experience with modular systems, exhibition builds, or pop-ups.
• Exposure to international projects or manufacturing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality Vectorworks (Mac) technical drawings.
• Develop design intent and production-ready drawing packs.
• Work closely with designers to interpret and resolve design concepts.
• Prepare drawings suitable for manufacture, tender, and site coordination.
• Ensure accuracy in dimensions, materials, and construction detailing.
• Maintain drawing standards, layers, classes, and file organisation.

Skills

Solid understanding of construction methods, joinery, and materials
