The role provides specialist technical leadership for the Valuation Control function across Corporate and Investment Banking, ensuring IFRS compliance and accurate P&L reporting. You will interact with auditors and regulators and lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex valuation challenges.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Finance or quantitative field.
• Licences: CA (SA) / CFA / FRM.
• 10+ years in Product Control, Valuation Control, Market Risk, or Front Office Finance in Global Markets or Investment Banking.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical leadership and oversight for the Valuation Control function across CIB.
• Act as lead liaison between Business, Finance, Risk and Quants to resolve complex valuation issues.
• Protect balance sheet integrity and IFRS compliance through valuation oversight and disclosures.
• Represent valuation methodologies to external auditors and regulators.
