Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive remote Legal Assistant to support our legal team with administrative, calendaring, client communication, and document management tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and capable of following established procedures with minimal supervision.

Desired degree: Bachelor's Degree in Law or Administrative Degrees with previous Law experience

Schedule:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM US Eastern Standard Time Zone

Key ResponsibilitiesReception & Phones
Answer and triage all incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
Manage call flow and ensure timely and appropriate follow-up.
Calendaring & Scheduling
Accurately add court dates, deadlines, and meetings to the calendar.
Include travel time and preparation for hearings.
Follow court-specific scheduling protocols, including outreach to judicial assistants and e-filing timelines.
Document & Email Management
Download and save court-filed documents via e-filing links to OneDrive.
Ensure correct titling and storage in appropriate client folders.
Read and process CC’d emails to take informed action independently.

Client Follow-Up
Send reminders for document deadlines and payment responsibilities.
Review uploaded client materials (e.g., bank statements) and identify missing items.
Communicate proactively with clients regarding administrative needs.

Workflow Consistency & SOP Adherence
Apply consistent procedures across similar matters.
Refer to and follow written SOPs without needing reminders.
Execute delegated tasks with attention to detail and minimal instruction.
QualificationsPrior experience of more than 2 years in a legal or administrative support role is preferred.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Familiarity with calendaring systems, OneDrive, and e-filing platforms
