Job summary

JVR Software is seeking a qualified underground vehicle operator to transport personnel and materials, including explosives where authorised, to designated underground locations. The role requires strict adherence to traffic regulations and vehicle maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency in mining operations.

Required credentials include Grade 10 or higher, a vehicle operator ticket or equivalent, a Certificate of Fitness, and a valid driver’s licence, with experience in underground traffic

• Must have Grade 10 or higher and the relevant vehicle operator ticket or an equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of underground traffic management is required.
• A valid Certificate of Fitness and a valid driver’s licence are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Pre-use inspect the vehicle and report defects.
• Transport people, explosives (where authorised), consumables and equipment to the working places.
• Follow traffic rules and load limits at all times.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.
• Complete vehicle logs and report incidents.
