About the role

We are seeking a Utility Manager to:

  • Report variances to the client
  • Support the business unit on utility matters
  • Manage the SLA with the utility management company
  • Administer utility billings to tenants and report on utility income
  • Report on utility expenses and queries

Manage staff effectively, provide guidance on utility tasks, and present annual utility training to ensure all parties are updated with industry standards.

Meet client's standards in utility management as per the Service Level Agreement, plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities related to sustainability management, including projects like building construction and preventative maintenance.

What you will bring

  • Diploma in Utility Management
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a utility environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in numeracy skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and build effective relationships
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Staff management experience

What you will be doing

  • Implement environmental sustainability policies
  • Ensure proper utility management practices
  • Monitor utility usage and generate cost savings
  • Introduce greening initiatives
  • Manage asset register and sustainable projects
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain records
  • Manage ESG and sustainability reports, certifications, and initiatives
  • Oversee utility management including solar, borehole, diesel, and meter reading
