Qualifications
- Grade 12 and Trade Tested Artisan qualifications are essential.

- Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4)
- Trade Tested Artisan (NQF 5)
- Up to 3 years of Operator experience in a manufacturing environment
- Computer literacy (basic MS Office, SAP, ERP systems and other job-specific software systems)
- Knowledge of relevant maintenance practices/ designs/ methodologies/ SOPs

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate, repair and perform maintenance work on equipment and machines to minimize and prevent failures/ breakdowns in production operations
- Maintenance support
- Sets and maintains the following machines as per the suppliers’ operating manual
- Negative and positive pasting lines including expander, tab blanker, hopper, divider and stacker
- Ensures each line of equipment produces the correct quality product at the nominal production rate for that equipment
- Ensures all extraction and cooling systems are kept in the correct working condition
- Administration
- Ensures the appropriate job card is completed before maintenance work starts
- Completes the production logs, attribute charts and SPC data as required in the assembly work instructions
- Compliance
- Operates within controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of the company
- Reports risks or areas of concern to management within the area of responsibility
- Promotes compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures to prevent fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditure
- Cost-control
- Supports the effective and transparent use of financial and other resources
- Limits expenditure, reduces costs and ensures deviations from budgetary limits are reported to the direct manager
- Customer service
- Maintains effective working relationships with employees and customers to render the highest quality of services
