Utility Bills Coordinator

Location: Remote (must be based in the Western Cape and within travelling distance to Stellenbosch)

Company Overview

Urang is a fast-growing property management firm based in Fulham with an extensive and ever-increasing portfolio of properties across London. We are looking to expand our team and services with the addition of Utility Bills Coordinator to provide full support in managing utilities across our portfolio. This is a mid-level position, and the right applicant will be given relevant training to progress within the industry.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Utility Bills Coordinator to support the management of utility services.You will play a key role in maintaining accurate utility records, troubleshooting billing issues, and ensuring timely processing of data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, track, and validate utility data across multiple properties
  • Identify and recover missing invoices or data
  • Maintain internal spreadsheets and billing records with accuracy
  • Communicate with utility providers and internal stakeholders
  • Onboard new properties onto utility billing portals
  • Follow up on meter readings and outstanding bills
  • Respond to utility-related queries via phone and email
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Line Manager

Skills & Experience Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in utility billing or similar administrative roles
  • Knowledge of residential property management
  • Familiarity with utility management platforms

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: R20 000pm-R25,000 per month
  • Contract: Permanent, remote role
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 SAST

Additional Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in the Western Cape for occasional office visits in Stellenbosch
  • Internet Access: A stable and reliable connection is essential, including during load shedding
  • Assessment Process: A skills-based trial assessment will be required as part of the selection process
