Placements24 is seeking a diligent Project Manager to oversee utility infrastructure projects in Paarl, Western Cape. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor water, electricity or telecom initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with safety standards.

You will manage schedules, budgets and resources, liaising with engineers, contractors and community stakeholders. A PM certification (PMP) is an asset and strong communication is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within utilities or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of utility networks and construction practices.
• PM certification (e.g., PMP) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and completion of utility infrastructure projects (water, power, fiber).
• Develop detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance and progress.
• Oversee site activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders via reports and meetings.
