As a UTC ECP you will beconsidered a key person in day-to-day clinical leadership and expertise withinthe department.

You will be working autonomouslywithin your sphere of competency as a clinicianin adiverse,multi-skilled teamthat includes GPs, Advanced Practitioners, PhysicianAssociates, Paediatric ANPs, Emergency Practitioners and Live Well Coaches.

On each shift, you will provideexpert advice and second opinions for patients seen and treated by juniormembers of staff.

Weare looking for full and part time practitioners on a permanentsalaried basis.The service is days per year, 7 days a week which means that shifts are available 24 / 7.

Main duties of the jobPrincipalduties and responsibilities - Take responsibility for the patients assignedthrough the streaming process.

  • Perform assessment of patients needs, plan,implement and evaluate clinical treatment and care using advanced clinicalknowledge and skills.
  • To assess diagnostics including ECGs, bloods,urinalysis, and X-rays.
  • Be able to discuss with patients and carers therange of possible treatment / management options and their implications beforetreatment decisions are made.
  • Instigate and implement clinical management andtreatment changes when appropriate.
  • Contribute to specific care guidelines andstandards supporting the care of patients across the health economy.
  • To implement Health and Safety and RiskManagement appropriate to area of work
  • To deliver aspects of the Clinical GovernanceAgenda, following the direction of the Clinical Leadership.
  • Contribute to and manage various elements ofauditing in the UTC.
  • To have overall responsibility for other membersof the clinical team within the UTC
