Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Creative Architectural Designer with a strong interest in urban planning to join our growing team in Tembisa. You will translate high-level concepts into practical, aesthetically pleasing designs that enhance urban spaces, while collaborating with senior architects and planners in a hybrid work environment.

The role emphasizes urban development, master planning, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable and community-focused projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Urban Planning.
• Proven experience in architectural design, with a focus on urban environments or master planning.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of urban design principles, zoning laws, and planning processes.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both a team and independent setting, adapting to a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual designs, master plans, and detailed architectural drawings for urban development projects.
• Conduct research on site conditions, zoning regulations, and community needs to inform design decisions.
• Prepare presentations, renderings, and visualizations to communicate design proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, landscape architects, and environmental consultants.
• Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and specifications.
• Ensure designs adhere to project budgets, timelines, and sustainability goals.
