Upmarket Deli Shop Manager

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Front Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our upmarket restaurant / Deli.

This role requires a hands-on, service-focused individual with a flair for premium hospitality, team leadership, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a deep love for hospitality and customer service to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of baristas and service staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Maintain a strong floor presence and lead by example in service delivery, presentation, and hospitality.
• Manage stock levels, order supplies, and work with suppliers to ensure freshness and quality.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Monitor and manage costs, wastage, and labour in line with budget goals.
• Develop and implement service procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with marketing to drive promotions, events, and community engagement.
• Handle customer feedback with professionalism and care to uphold the brand's reputation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory or management role in a premium café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of specialty coffee brewing techniques and café trends.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of stock control, ordering systems, and basic financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and a passion for quality service.
• Flexibility to work weekends, early mornings, and public holidays as needed.
