A retail technology firm in Cape Town is seeking an Upgrade Technician for their Customer Support Department. This role involves upgrading software systems after hours to ensure minimal downtime for clients. Ideal candidates should have A+ and N+ certifications, a keen eye for detail, and effective problem-solving skills. The position requires flexibility with working hours, encompassing 4 shifts of 10 hours each, starting in the evening.
Here is an opportunity for an Upgrade Technician to join our Customer Support Department.
We're looking for an Upgrade Technician who will be responsible for upgrading software/systems for our retail clients after-hours.
The successful candidate will work a 4 x 10-hour shifts per week.
The typical working hours are between 16:00 and 2:00 am, ensuring our clients experience no downtime during their trading hours.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a keen eye for detail.
You will be challenged from time to time and will need to problem solve and use initiative.
If you're a recent graduate, we will consider your application based on theoretical experience.
It is preferred that you have at least an A+ and N+ certificate.
It will be advantageous if you have previous experience with software upgrades in a retail or FMCG environment and if you know the basics of MS SQL.
Please note that this position is based at our Head Office in Parklands.
