Job summary

Clinix Health Group (Pty) Ltd in Gauteng seeks a Unit Manager to plan, monitor, coordinate and oversee ward operations and processes to ensure quality patient care and efficient running of the unit. You will mentor nursing staff, oversee budget, drive cost savings, and ensure stakeholder engagement while maintaining high standards of safety and service delivery.

This senior role requires strong leadership, clinical and administrative skills, and a proven ability to implement quality improvement

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with B.Cur in General Nursing and paediatric nursing certification.
• BLS certification and Nursing Administration qualification are required.
• Experience in hospital administration and paediatric care preferred.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

To plan, monitor, coordinate and oversee the Unit’s operations and processes to ensure quality patient care and the overall running of the unit including but not limited to managing the ward clerks, RN, EN and ENA’s roles and responsibilities. Take responsibility for the mentoring, coaching, training and development of nursing staff and managing the Unit budget and ensuring cost saving and stakeholder engagement.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

• B.Cur in General Nursing
• Certification or Diploma in Paediatric Nursing
• BLS
• Nursing Administration qualification

Minimum Experience:

• Infection Prevention and Control
• 3+ years’ experience at a managerial/supervisory level.
• Experienced in Paediatric nursing
• Experience within a private hospital environment advantageous.
