Role Responsibilities
  1. Technical Underwriting: Underwrite business within authority through rigorous risk assessment, considering loss control, claims history, and risk management factors. Play an active role in developing, negotiating, and signing off large programs, motivating limits and policy structures where referral is required. Issue and control underwriting authority within limits. Provide technical guidance to underwriters. Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and referral processes.
  2. Portfolio Management: Manage the business portfolio for profitable growth, assess performance, and recommend adjustments. Provide accurate estimates and reports. Conduct technical underwriting audits. Keep abreast of market trends. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and brokers. Represent AIG in industry bodies.
  3. Business Operations: Adhere to SLAs to ensure operational efficiency and customer service. Work to reduce expenses through streamlining processes. Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
  4. Business Development and Retention: Focus on growth and retention strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven underwriting experience in Liabilities / Casualty with a successful sales record.

  • Ability to analyze financial statements.
