Role Purpose
To assess new business applications and provide accurate underwriting decisions in line with the Scheme's underwriting guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Make accurate individual underwriting decisions for new applicants and additional dependents applying to join Momentum Medical Scheme by applying:
- The Medical Schemes Act (legislation);
- The Momentum Medical Scheme underwriting policy;
- Standards, protocols, and guidelines set.
Liaise with brokers, applicants, members, and doctors regarding underwriting decisions made either telephonically, in writing, or in person as required.Effectively resolve queries received and identify trends and training gaps.Drive and support effective departmental teamwork.Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 1-2 years underwriting experience
- Health underwriting experience is an advantage
