Job summary

Sandvik Ab is seeking a Remote Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst with 4–6 years of experience to provide critical insights into inventory, transportation, warehousing, and order fulfillment. You will collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations for the global supply chain strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, industrial engineering, statistics, data science, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or data analysis.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, R; advanced Excel (VBA).
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain data to non-technical audiences.

Remote Supply Chain Analyst

This position is fully remote and requires an individual capable of providing critical insights into operational efficiency, cost reduction, and performance improvement across various logistics functions. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets related to inventory, transportation, warehousing, and order fulfillment to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytical tools and methodologies to develop actionable recommendations that enhance the overall supply chain strategy. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a virtual environment and possesses exceptional analytical and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to logistics and supply chain operations (e.g., transportation costs, inventory levels, warehouse throughput, delivery times).
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.

• Conduct in-depth analysis to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and improve transportation routes.
• Develop models and simulations to evaluate the impact of proposed changes or strategies.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and finance, to gather data and present findings.
• Research industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a logistics, supply chain, or data analysis role.
• Proven ability to perform complex data analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel (advanced functions, VBA), or similar.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics operations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
