Job summary

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or vocational training is required or preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and safety practices.
• Experience with installing, testing and maintaining electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, maintain and repair electrical systems, machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, fault-finding and repairs.
• Work safely with HT and LT electrical systems and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Conduct electrical testing and ensure equipment meets specifications.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Assist with planned maintenance, breakdowns and emergency repairs.
• Minimise downtime through effective fault diagnosis and timely repairs.
• Maintain records of maintenance, faults and repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and production teams for optimal plant performance.
• Follow mine safety procedures and permit-to-work processes.
• Maintain good housekeeping and participate in audits and safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.
