Job summary

A leading support services company is looking for a hands-on Support Technician based in Germiston. This role involves supporting installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized communication and electronic systems, with a focus on underground mining environments. The ideal candidate must have a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification, an N6 in Electronic Engineering, and valid driver's license. Key responsibilities include on-site support and technical assessments, maintaining strong communication with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is essential.
• N6 in Electronic Engineering is the minimum requirement.
• Proven mine site experience with underground exposure is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily technical tasks under the Product Support Manager.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of company products on-site.
• Conduct site audits and technical assessments.

Ability to work independently

Computer literate (MS Office)

Education

Grade 12 or equivalent

N6 in Electronic Engineering

Valid Code 8 or 10 driver’s license

Tools

2-way radio / RF communication systems

Fibre / optic fibre knowledge

MTCNA (MikroTik) certification

CompTIA A+ and/or N+ certification
