Job summary

Redpath is seeking experienced Auto Electricians for its Mogalakwena Underground Project in South Africa. The role focuses on maintaining underground heavy mobile equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality servicing.

You will transfer knowledge to the local South African workforce while adhering to site procedures, policies, and safety standards. FIFO from Australia/New Zealand may be arranged, with competitive salary packages.

Qualifications

• Underground heavy mobile equipment experience required.
• Sandvik Automine experience essential.
• Trade certificate (auto electrical) or equivalent.
• 5+ years in underground mining environment.
• Willingness to transfer/mentor skills to local personnel.
• All relevant qualifications, certificates and licenses.
• Adherence to safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and reporting procedures.
• Liaise with Shift Supervisors to optimize site equipment.
• Carry out equipment maintenance, inspections and reporting.
• Perform scheduled servicing and respond to call outs as required.
• Mentor and transfer skills to South African personnel.
