We are looking for a UI/UX Test Analyst to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg (Hybrid- In office 3 days a week).

We are seeking professional Software and UI/UX testers with a focus on functional testing, API testing and most importantly UI/UX testing with key focus on customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Test enhancements, bug fixes and newly developed features focusing on quality and reliability.
  • Create test scripts and test reports based on the full SDLC.
  • Drive a quality vision for our product and develop comprehensive strategies to achieve it.
  • Write an automated test suite for our product and provide test coverage analysis.
  • Ensure long-term software quality by identifying high value test scenarios for regression and automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • ISTQB Qualification is essential.

Essential skills

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a software testing role, demonstrating strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in database testing and querying.
  • API testing experience, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of system components.
  • Practical experience in UI/UX testing, including testing mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms, as well as web interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX testing methodologies and industry-based UX standards.
  • Proven experience in UX audits and evaluations.
  • Practical banking experience in testing both mobile and web applications.
  • Experience in cross-border payments, with a strong understanding of Accounting Principles, including statements, general ledgers (GLs), and reconciliations.
  • Forex Payments banking domain experience and/or financial expertise in settlement systems.

Desired skills

  • Understanding of Dealing Principles, including exchange rates and basic forex dealing.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory and Compliance requirements, particularly SARB reporting.
  • Experience in Data Reconciliation Testing, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial transactions.

Experience

  • Able to produce and exercise rigorous test procedures and recognize errors.
  • Experience in manual, functional and compatibility testing, experience in writing test scenarios and test cases, familiarity with defect management.
  • Database Testing skills advantageous.
  • Experience with test management tools such as Octane and Jira.
  • Undertake and present user experience research within the department to design and deliver mobile and online services to ensure the optimal user experience.
  • Apply, develop and monitor methods to validate designs with users to inform decisions for digital services projects that achieve industry best practice and fit the purpose.
  • Strong ownership, organizational, collaboration and communication skills.
