Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of audio-visual experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Crestron and Extron systems essential.

Job description

Minimum Requirements

  • Fluent in English (speak & write) and at least understand Afrikaans.
  • Matric Essential
  • A minimum of 2-4 years audio visual experience
  • Strong knowledge of Audio-Visual systems
  • Crestron and Extron programming non-negotiable
  • Basic Room control experience.
  • Audio experience including basic DSP programming
  • Video Routing and switching experience
  • Video Conferencing endpoint experience – Polycom, Avaya
  • Proof of technical skills
  • Good time management essential
  • Strong attention to detail is essential
  • Must have valid Driver's license & own vehicle

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Responding to calls logged by clients.
  2. Providing remote / telephonic support.
  3. Scheduling site visits within a client's Service Level Agreement Mean-Time-To-Respond time.
  4. Resolving an issue within a client's Service Level Agreement Mean-Time-To-Repair time.
  5. Understanding each client's Service Level Agreement contract and adhering to the required service.
  6. Scheduling and completing preventative maintenance.
  7. This includes compiling full maintenance reports after work is completed.
  8. Advanced fault-finding
  9. Comprehensive knowledge of wiring, cable termination and best practice standards.
  10. Video Conferencing and Audio Visual Equipment Configuration.
  11. Preparing properly before attending to a site.
  12. Liaising with suppliers and senior staff to resolve issues.
  13. Doing installations when no Field Service work is required.
  14. Programming of Crestron and Extron control systems for Boardroom installations.
  15. Being available to work overtime when required.
  16. Being available to travel for work when required.
  17. Being on stand-by when required
  18. Completing training when not attending to a client.
  19. Willing to assist as On-Site Technician when needed at certain customers.
  20. Must be able to work and report without direct supervision.
