Our client based in Gauteng is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team.
To ensure that facilities and equipment are in good working order in order to minimize timely and costly losses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of all preventive maintenance activities defined in the Annual Preventive Maintenance Plan (APMP).
- Carry out maintenance activities requested by other departments, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and facilities.
- Make the correct changes of format cutting, filtering and screening machines for the preparation of fruits.
- Carry out periodic lubrication defined in the Annual Preventive Maintenance Plan.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment and facilities after any intervention.
- Carry out start-ups and ensure proper working of equipment and facilities.
- Monitor all activities from outside companies for requested services.
- Fulfill the Job Cards of each preventive or curative maintenance intervention.
- Complete records of changes made to the preparation of fruit machines.
- Report to superiors any anomaly detected in equipment and facilities.
- General housekeeping and cleaning maintenance of the workshop and working tools.
- General cleaning of boiler room, compressor room, generator, compressor cages and paraffin bund, and recording of the above mentioned in the cleaning schedule.
- Carry out daily checklist and ensure issues are reported to your superiors and repaired.
- Carry out weekly scare verification and calibration.
- Carry out inspections on lifting equipment and ensure battery levels are sufficient.
ROLE:
- Ensure stock is accounted for on Job card and stock levels are reported regularly to your superior.
- Perform stock takes as requested by Maintenance Manager.
- Record daily consumption of water, gas and energy.
- Responsible for managing the waste generated in the activities associated with maintenance.
- Perform standby as per shift schedule.
QEFS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness of the workplace.
- Knowledge of the FSSC requirements.
- Knowledge of the HACCP principles.
- Knowledge of OPRP’s and PRP’s.
- Know the environmental impacts and the environmental responsibilities associated with the tasks it performs, to contribute to the good environmental performance of the Organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum N2 Qualified Millwright.
- Wireman's License.
- Forklift license.
- Working at heights.
- Boiler technician.
- 0-2 years experience.
