Job summary

Bridgestone Southern Africa is seeking a Tyre Serviceman in Kathu to inspect, maintain, repair and replace tyres for a range of vehicles. This is an on-site, full-time role at the Kathu site with Brdgestone's mining services network.

As part of the Otraco Southern Africa initiative, you will perform wheel changes, calibrations and tyre maintenance while upholding safety and high service standards. Training and mentorship are provided in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
• Valid Code 08 light vehicle driver’s license.
• Code 10 heavy vehicle license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record tyre changes and forward information as required.
• Perform equipment checks and calibrations per procedures.
• Fit and remove wheels from vehicles per procedures.
• Mount and strip tyre and rim assemblies per procedures.
• Perform tyre and tube repairs per procedures.
• Operate forklifts and tyre handlers per procedures.
• Clean, paint and crack test rim components.
• Inspect and determine wheel component suitability for service.
• Maintain tyre operating pressures per site specifications.
• Maintain high quality service to the client.
• Complete any other duties as required.
